美國(guó)加州的Surfware公司開發(fā)的Surfcam是基于Windows的數(shù)控編程系統(tǒng)，附有全新透視圖基底的自動(dòng)化彩色編輯功能，可迅速而又簡(jiǎn)捷地將一個(gè)模型分解為型芯和型腔，從而節(jié)省復(fù)雜零件的編程時(shí)間。該軟件的CAM功能具有自動(dòng)化的恒定Z水平粗加工和精加工功能，可以使用圓頭、球頭和方頭立銑刀在一系列Z水平上對(duì)零件進(jìn)行無撞傷的曲面切削。對(duì)某些作業(yè)來說，這種加工方法可以提高粗加工效率和減少精加工時(shí)間。V7.0版本完全支持基于微機(jī)的實(shí)體模型建立。另外Surfware公司和SolidWorks公司簽有合作協(xié)議，SolidWorks的設(shè)計(jì)部分將成為Surfcam的設(shè)計(jì)前端，Surfcam將直接掛在SolidWorks的菜單下，二者相輔相成。

全球頂尖第三大CAD/CAM軟件服務(wù)商Vero軟件公司非常榮幸的宣布，Vero公司已經(jīng)成功收購(gòu)來自Surfware軟件公司的Surfcam軟件，以豐富其CAD/CAM的產(chǎn)品線。
